What is ShareGiveHealth and how does it work?
Can I create my own fund?
No, but you can direct your donations to an array of John Muir Health Programs (i.e. Children’s Services, Nursing Education, Cardio Rehabilitation, or to the unrestricted John Muir Health Fund). You will be asked which program you’d like to direct the funds when you create your ShareGiveHealth Page.
Does it cost anything?
No. ShareGiveHealth is free.
Are there any time limits?
Your Page will expire after one year. However, the Foundation will monitor the Page every few months and will communicate with the Creator if the Page has become inactive. You may extend beyond the expiration date upon approval from the Foundation.
Do I have to set a monetary goal?
No, although setting a monetary goal helps propel gifts to your Page.
Can I increase my monetary goal?
Yes, you can increase your monetary goal at any time.
What is the secret to a successful Page?
If you’re raising funds for something you strongly believe in, chances are people in your life will be eager to support you. ShareGiveHealth provides easy-to-use features to share your John Muir Health story with family, friends, loved ones and community.
How can I share my Page?
Our ShareGiveHealth feature makes it easy to share your Page on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Sharing your ShareGiveHealth Page is the single most important thing you can do for a successful fundraising Page.
How will I know if someone donates to my Page?
If you choose to be notified, you will receive an email when a donation has been made to your Page. Choosing to be notified is an option.
Where do the funds received from my Page go?
100% of your Page funds will go directly to the John Muir Health fund you have specified.
Can I cancel or delete my Page?
You can cancel or delete your Page at any time by contacting us foundation@givehealthjmh.org or by calling (925)947-4449.
Are ShareGiveHealth donations tax deductible?
Yes, all gifts made to John Muir Health Foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
